Job description

Launchcodex is a full-service AI digital agency. We build marketing systems, data pipelines, and modern web apps that help ambitious brands scale. As a junior backend developer, you will contribute to our API services, internal tools, and client platforms. You will work closely with senior engineers on well-scoped tasks, write clean code, add tests, and learn how to ship production features with confidence. You will touch real projects early, pair with mentors, and get exposure to cloud infrastructure, CI, and secure data practices.

Job responsibilites

- Ship well-tested backend features in small iterations - Implement REST and GraphQL endpoints, integrate third-party APIs - Build and maintain data models, jobs, and background workers - Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews - Help monitor services, investigate alerts, and fix bugs - Contribute to internal SDKs and reusable modules - Document decisions and update runbooks and READMEs - Collaborate with frontend, data, and product to scope work - Follow secure coding and privacy practices - Participate in sprint rituals and share demos

Job requirements

- 1 to 2 years of experience, internships or projects welcome - Proficiency in at least one backend language, for example Node.js, Python, or Go - Experience with a web framework, for example Express, FastAPI, or Django - Solid understanding of HTTP, JSON, and REST fundamentals - Familiarity with relational databases and SQL, for example Postgres or MySQL - Basic knowledge of Git, branching, and pull requests - Exposure to containers and Docker - Comfortable writing tests and using a CI pipeline - Clear communication and eagerness to learn - Authorized to work in the United States
